Taiwan’s FCFC to restart styrene units in the week starting July 12.

Petrotahlil - Taiwan’s Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp., or FCFC, plans to restart its No. 1 and No. 2 styrene units at Mailiao on July 13 after turnarounds, a source close to the company said July 9.

The units have been shut for maintenance since May 12 and were originally scheduled to restart in late June.

The company runs three styrene units at present. The No. 1 and No.2 units can produce 250,000 mt/year and 350,000 mt/year of styrene, respectively, while the No. 3 unit has a nameplate capacity of 720,000 mt/year.
