Westlake wrapping up PVC, VCM facility turnaround at Plaquemine

Petrotahlil :The company was working to restart the facilities this week, the source added.

A Westlake spokesman did not respond to an inquiry about the turnaround.

The company shut the plants in early June for the planned work, reducing availability of export volumes. The reduced supply, in addition to a seasonal rise in domestic demand, helped push June export PVC pricing up $65/mt from May levels to $800-$810/mt FAS Houston.
