China’s Sinopec Anqing raises May ACN prices by CNY400/tonne.

Petrotahlil:China’s Sinopec Anqing Petrochemical has increased its May acrylonitrile (ACN) settlement price by yuan (CNY) 400/tonne ($57.80/tonne) on the back of a strong domestic market, a company source said on Monday.

Both spot and contract prices stood at CNY15,000/tonne on 17 May.

The company has two ACN plants in Anhui province with a combined capacity of 210,000 tonnes/year.

Its 80,000 tonne/year No 1 plant and 130,000 tonne/year No 2 plant are operating around 100%.
