Petrotahlil - A domestic producer in Indonesia increased PE and PP offers to the local market as it kept pace with import prices amid tight supply, according to traders.
It raised offers by IDR730,000/ton ($49/ton) and IDR750,000/ton ($50/ton) for LLDPE film and injection to IDR15,430,000/ton ($1032/ton) and IDR16,710,000/ton ($1118/ton) respectively and by IDR290,000/ton ($19/ton) to IDR15,620,000/ton ($1045/ton) for HDPE film - all on FD Indonesia, cash basis.
For PP, it increased offers by IDR440,000/ton ($30/ton) to IDR16,180,000/ton ($1083/ton) for homo-PP film, to IDR15,600,000/ton ($1044/ton) for homo-PP raffia and injection, and IDR15,880,000/ton ($1063/ton) for BOPP on similar terms.
It also hiked offers by IDR150,000/ton ($10/ton) for PPBC to IDR16,450,000/ton ($1101/ton) and by IDR470,000/ton ($32/ton) for PPRC injection to IDR18,520,000/ton ($1239/ton).
The producer has increased prices for the third straight week on the back of tight supply and with sentiment in Southeast Asia lifted by robust China demand.
