Spot ethylene markets surge on limited supply in Asia.

Petrotahlil - In Asia, spot ethylene markets have tracked a firmer trend this week on the heels of improving buying interest and limited supply in the region.

Accordingly, spot prices on CFR China basis surged by $50/ton to $775/ton, while prices on CFR Southeast Asia increased by around 35$/ton to be quoted at $730/ton.

Data from ChemOrbis Price Wizard showed that spot ethylene prices on both CFR China and Southeast Asia basis are currently hovering at their highest levels since early and late July, respectively.
