Tightness keeps PVC sentiment firm in Asia

Tightness keeps PVC sentiment firm in Asia

Petrotahlil-In Asia, PVC sentiment remains firm supported by tight supply, defying the softening in other polymer prices.

A Japanese producer applied a further increase of $10/ton on its end-June PVC offers to China, India and Southeast Asia.

“Our export allocation is quite limited. PVC sentiment across Asia has remained bullish due to ongoing concerns about supply disruptions, particularly from Brazil. Hence we maintain our firm stance on our prices, expecting to see further increases in July PVC offers,” a producer source noted.

PVC K67 offers from the producer currently stand at $850-860/ton CFR China, at $860-870/ton CIF Southeast Asia and at $890-900/ton CFR India, all on cash basis.

Meanwhile, the source revealed their sell idea for July PVC K67 at $930-940/ton CFR India. “We are also expecting offers to China and SEA to increase around $20-30/ton from June,” he said.
